I’m so glad that my nearest coworker (he started I think three weeks after me and we have the same “status” so to speak; we do the same stuff at work) is a person with a good sense of humor. It totally makes the day go by easier. Not that we talk constantly, but every now and then there’s something that gives you a good laugh. Today for example, he was packing some products and there was a corner empty in the box, and I told him to fill it with love. ROFL! There is a slogan for a bread company here in Sweden that says “baked with love”. And I made up a slogan for our company; “packed with love”. Now that can mean soooo many things… for example, the word “packed” in Swedish is a slang for drunk. Goodness… don’t you just love those jokes that make you laugh anytime you think of ‘em?

It made me think of how much I’ve missed laughing… really laughing. One should laugh at least 20 minutes per day, but I doubt I even laugh five. I want to though. There are few things as great in life as a really good laugh, one that makes your stomach hurt. Oh I remember when we were young and Nab and I were at a circus, and this guy riding on an elephant or something lost his pants. Both of us doubled over at the same time and almost laughed our heads off. Man those were days… it was so much easier to find a good laugh as a kid.
I also remember how I could force a laugh. I mean I would fake it until I made it. I wanna do that again sometime… but I know that whenever I laugh while reading or watching a movie, mom thinks I’m crazy… so laughing alone is not wise! Sigh… one should not suppress laughter. It’s injurious to health!… I think ^_^.
Yeah, I miss those days too. When you could really laugh.. I do try to suppress laughter nowadays… Din’t realize it until I read it here..
Keep laughing.. Lots of ‘love’
You too!
cute post… you sound very jolly ! nice
Thanks
.
I make it a rule that I MUST laugh AT LEAST once a day and preferably more like once an hour! I consider any classes I teach to be failures unless I’ve made my students laugh at least once – or much more! It really is the best medicine. So I’m very glad you’ve found someone at work who is making your life more joyful by making you laugh.
I LOVE teachers who make jokes! I have a hard time staying awake during long lectures and laughing definitely keeps me alert! So keep making your students laugh, I’m sure they truly appreciate it
!
I hope so – I also fall asleep in boring lectures so I try to avoid letting that happen to my students!
